Synopsis
College-aged couple Rebecca Miles and John Dalmass attempt to keep their long distance relationship alive by video chatting. However a chance encounter with an online psychic plunges their lives into a series of disturbing and deadly events.
It’s Rebecca’s 21st birthday. She has recently moved from her hometown of Bedford, Virginia to attend Rutger’s Camden in southern New Jersey. Rebecca rents a room in a historic house in nearby Collingswood. For her birthday Rebecca’s boyfriend, John Dalmass, gifts her with a webcam in hopes that daily video chatting will keep their long distance relationship alive.
John’s homie, Billy Lux, is a gamer who lives out of his parent’s garage in Bedford. He turns John on to an online psychic who Rebecca eagerly checks out first.
Rebecca has to control herself from cracking up while getting a reading from the scammy psychic, Vera Madeline. Afterwards Rebecca tells John that Vera’s got the cliche going with the “candles burning in the background” and the “hokey music!”
John is next to visit Vera but his reading takes a dark turn when Vera reveals a shocking and deadly series of events that occurred in Collingswood, New Jersey. Events that lure Rebecca and John into a disturbing reality of unrelenting fear and terror.
